As a show-jumper, Gemma competed successfully through 1.35m and was Champion at the Evergreen Classic in 2004. Gemma’s dam was by the internationally known Grand Prix and World Cup jumper Final Pool xx. Her dam is also a direct daughter of Sylvan Farm’s foundation mare Ambling Picture xx, who is the granddam of licensed jumper stallion Agincourt. Gemma’s sire, Grand Cru, descends from the famous crossing of the Grande and Absatz lines. Grand Cru’s sire, Grand Garcon, competed successfully in the Olympics for Italy. His dam SPS Dorfbraut (Duenkel) was also the dam of Pik Solo (Pik Koenig). Gemma was entered into the American Hanoverian Society’s prestigious Jumper Breeding Program with scores of “9” for both technique and scope.
